On June 7, my daughter had a pool accident and broke her elbow. We first went to the emergency room, where they quickly took care of her, did the X-rays, and transferred us to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. They prepared all of the transfer paperwork because my daughter needed a pediatric orthopedic specialist. When we arrived at Henry Ford Macomb, we waited for hours before someone came back and told us they didn't have a pediatric orthopedic specialist. They gave my daughter some pain medication to swallow and sent us home. A few days later, I had to arrange follow-up care myself at Children's Hospital of Michigan so she could receive the treatment she needed. The most shocking part is that we later received a bill for $6,328, even though they told us they didn't have a pediatric orthopedic specialist and could not provide the care she was transferred there to receive. The transfer paperwork clearly showed my daughter's age, so I don't understand how they accepted the transfer only to tell us hours later that they couldn't treat her. I will be appealing this bill because I do not believe we should be charged for the hospital's failure to verify that it had the appropriate special

I accidentally selected the Henry Ford West Bloomfield location for my mammogram and ended up traveling almost an hour to get there. The long drive was absolutely worth it. From the information desk at the main entrance all the way through the mammogram process, every staff member was accommodating, welcoming, and greeted me with a genuine smile. Their customer service is exceptional. It was my first time visiting the facility and my first time having a mammogram, and they addressed all my worries by providing an excellent, comforting experience. I truly appreciate the professionalism and kindness shown throughout my visit.

Dr. Krol is the absolutely the best doctor!!! He’s old school in that he always hears me and is never in a rush like these newbie doctors. If you get 10 minutes your lucky! I feel so very grateful to be in under his care for since 2006. They don’t make them like him anymore.😢

We've been going to this location for many years for the pediatric department. My son is now 18, my daughter is five. From scheduling the appointment all the way through to the end, everyone is nice, polite, friendly. I have never had a problem. I actually enjoy taking my kids to the doctor. I have also visited the ER and the lab services they offer and once again from scheduling all the way through to the end always friendly. Never a problem. And I think the longest I have ever waited in the waiting room was 30 minutes and that was for a walk in ER visit.

Greetings. This is a great location. They have a farm fresh vending machine. That was my first experience with the product. It was amazing delicious and tasted fresh. I also like to buy their peanut M&Ms at the pharmacy where they usually sell them as a fundraiser. The Lab, ER, Radiology area is usually clean and fairly quick depending on time of day. I usually see internal medicine and they never keep me waiting for more than the allotted Henry Ford 15 minutes. Occasionally, I’ll get to the back and have to wait an additional 15 minutes for the doctor, but it’s never been an exorbitant amount of time. I greatly enjoy the personnel. Everyone is really friendly and usually has a smile and I often see some of the same front desk people each time. They always have a smile and a greeting for me and ask about how I’m doing. It’s nice to have a homebase of operations, and I kind of feel like Henry Ford Sterling Heights is that base for me. Even though I have moved, I still continue to come back to this center for my primary care.
